All our coaches are passionate and committed to the club. Some have started as gymnasts themselves and others have been parents that have developed their interests.

HEAD COACH

Our Head Coach is a full time Fire Fighter based at Wrexham and has 2 daughters training at the club and a son who doesn't! Col has a Degree in Sport & Fitness and is working towards his Level 3 British Gymnastics Coach, Club Level Judge.

Hi - i'm Jade and have been a gymnast for 11 years and am currently studying Coaching & Development in University.

I am currently working towards a Level 3 Acro Coach and Level 2 Tumble Coach

DISLIKES: - Spaghetti and Fish!

ASSISTANT COACH

Hi i'm Joy and I am assistant coach and competition judge. I have been involved in gymnastics since I was 11 years old. I work for British Gymnastics in the Performance Department and I have been coaching for 4 years.

LIKES: - Sausage Dogs, Gin, the Sunshine and Ducks!

DISLIKES: - Cabbage, Traffic and the cold!

SHANNON GOODE

ASSISTANT COACH

Hello my name is Shannon and I am a coach at Abbey Road. I started gymnastics at the age of 3 and competed until I was 19 years old.
I am also a qualified Personal Trainer and train our bases in their strength classes.

ASSISTANT COACH

I've been doing gym since I was 7 years old and I am now 17. I now coach Monday and Tuesday 5-6pm classes. I enjoy working as part of a team which is often the case in Acro Gymnastics.

ASSISTANT COACH

Hi, I'm Rhiannon and Assistant Coach to the recreational classes and have been training and coaching at Abbey Road for 6 years.

I have studied a 2 year BTEC course in Sports and qualified with a DDD.

LIKES: - Animals, Sports

DISLIKES: - Minimal effort!

DIANE GRIFFITHS

WELFARE OFFICER

Hi - i'm Diane and joined Abbey Road in2008 with my 2 daughters who I have watched grow at the club. I am the club welfare officer, this role is both challenging and rewarding. I also help with the day to day running of the club.

I am also the club resident DJ!

TUMBLING COACH

Jack has been at the club for a number of years and has watched his daughter compete until she left to go to university. Jack now concentrates on developing our tumblers in our tumbling classes.
